For a leisurely morning in Fort Kochi, consider taking a stroll OR ride around, and sightseeing of Cochin, including Fort Cochin, The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry is renowned for its wall murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana. The Jewish Synagogue at the heart of what is locally called the Jew Town. The St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India. The Santa Cruz Basilica, originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese. The Chinese fishing nets cantilevered fishing nets, and walk OR ride through the local market. Evening proceed to a local theater in Ernakulam to witness Kathakali Dance performance. Fort Kochi, India’s Oldest Indo – European town. We will discover a little more off the rich cultural history of this place during our visits to museums and temples that dot the city and surrounding areas.
Kathkali: A special treat awaits us this evening as we proceed. The extremely stylized gestures, the elaborate make-up, the masks and the splendid costumes of these all-male dancers, recreate an incomparable sense of pageantry.
Late evening transfer to Cochin International Airport to board flight to native place.
