VARANASI
Early in the morning, transfer to the ghats before sunrise to descend to the Ganges. From a boat, you can observe the purification rituals, in addition to having a spectacular view of the palaces and temples that are close to the ghats. Walk through the old city in front of the Aurangzeb mosque. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. Return to the hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon, drive to Sarnath, an important Buddhist center in the world. After becoming enlightened in Bodhgaya, the “enlightened” Buddha delivered his first sermon here. It was in the 6th century that he also launched the wheel of law, the Dharmachakra Center. This place was the residence of Rishis and was also known as “Rishipatana” (the place of Rishis or sages). Buddha gave his first sermon in Deer Park, where he initiated his first 5 Buddhist disciples. In the evening take a rickshaw ride followed by a boat ride to see the Aarti ceremony at the ghats of the holy river Ganges. During the tour, it is possible to see some of the Hindu temples located on the bank of the Ganges River. This tour depends on the water level.
