<p>Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the <strong><strong>Taj Mahal</strong></strong>, a monument of impressive beauty. It took 22 years and 20,000 men to build it. All white marble was quarried 320 km away and transported to the site by a fleet of 1,000 elephants. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal in the mid-17th century, the Taj Mahal is truly one of the wonders of the world.<br /> <br /> Visit <strong><strong>Agra Fort</strong></strong>, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture. The Fort was the seat and stronghold of the Mughal Empire for several generations. It is on the banks of the river Yamuna.<br /> <br /> The rest of the day is free for optional activities (not included).</p>
