JAIPUR - AGRA
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning drive 237 km to Agra (about 5 hours). On the way, stop at Abhaneri, where there are some important wells, such as the Chand Baori well, which was built by King Chand Raja to supply the people during periods of drought. Arrive in Agra and check in at your hotel for 2 nights' accommodation with breakfast. Agra: is still associated with the Mughal period. The Mughals, in addition to being great rulers, were also builders and maintained their best architectural wonders in Agra and its surroundings. It has many wonderful monuments and the Taj Mahal, the biggest of them all, is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. Go to the Mehtab Bagh garden from where you can see the Taj Mahal from behind (on the other side of the Yamuna River). Mehtab Bagh was originally built by Emperor Babur as the last in a series of 11 parks on the east bank of the Yamuna (long before the Taj was conceived).
